Last week was the first monthly meet up focusing on Type 1 and we all had so much fun together! The venue, graciously hosted by my dear friend Gene Moreland with The Agency, provided style, warmth, and a setting where the small group could enjoy spirited conversation.

Type 1—the Reformer or Perfectionist, is known to have high standards with an attention drawn to improve themselves and those around them.

It was so cool hearing partners & friends of Type 1s, parents of Type 1s and even Type 1’s themselves engage with the topic.

We discussed common words associated with Type 1—responsible, conscientious, routine, high standards, fair, honest, self controlled, and hard working and how these traits are experienced by those in the room who relate to them.

We laughed together how organizing the dishwasher can be done ‘correctly’ in the eyes of the EnneaType 1. We heard how parents can turn up the volume on affirming & validating their Type 1 child to offset their own inner critic noise.

EnneaType 1s in the room shared how they would feel more supported by those in their life by showing up, following through, being dependable and helping them to have more fun! EnneaType 1s like to have fun, they just might need permission to.

The night turned out like I hoped, building community in person, talking about the Enneagram. Our time together taught me a lot, and I hope to better my hosting skills to enhance our learning experience next month.

Whether you are that featured type or the friend of, parent of, partner of the months type, I hope you will consider joining us.

Tell your people too! Your referral is the greatest compliment I could receive!

If you are in the Portland area, I'm thrilled to combine my passion for teaching the Enneagram with my 2025 goal of fostering community in creative ways. I have created a monthly meetup utilizing the wisdom of the Enneagram.

Why the Enneagram? It’s a powerful, holistic tool for self discovery. Why community? Because I believe being with others fosters connection, belonging, and support. Community creates a space where people can share experiences, learn from one another, and grow together.

So, I’m excited to introduce the Enneadate night, where we’ll dive into one Enneagram type per session. The idea is for your significant others or close connections to join you and learn how to best nurture their relationship with you as your EnneaType.

Together, we'll explore your quirks, strengths, growth areas, and gain practical tips for deeper connection—all while building new friendships along the way.

If it’s your EnneaType’s month to shine, don’t miss the chance to attend and bring your loved ones for a fun and engaging evening! January highlights Type 1, February we'll focus on Type 2...and so on! Register here: on the Event page, spaces are limited!

I’m into goal setting and here we are at the cusp of a New Year, it’s time to start afresh! My goal for 2025 is to create more community for those interested in learning about the Enneagram. The first one being EnneaDate starting in January. EnneaDate will be a monthly date night featuring a specific Enneagram Type with the goal of exploring how an individual’s type influences their relationships. Deepening a connection with another through understanding their personality requires intentionality, curiosity and mutual respect. Each of these nights will give priority to a specific EnneaType and together we’ll deepen the connection through learning what makes that type unique, gain understanding to how they are motivated, appreciating their strengths, exploring their values as well as what might be challenging about being in relationship with them. Whether you want to be understood or you hope to understand, this will be a fun atmosphere to participate in. Mark your calendar for the first Type One EnneaDate night January 30. More details to sign up coming soon!

Other offerings will be: In February my colleagues within Enneagram Professionals (a northwest chapter of Enneagram experts) and I will be leading a workshop for Parenting, how understanding one’s Enneagram type can be helpful and hindering to one of the most profound jobs one can have: parenting a kid.

Throughout 2025 I hope to host a myriad of discussion groups and panels with the focus on one EnneaType at a time. I’ve often heard from clients that they want to meet others with their same type, to learn from, compare notes with, and foster greater community. I can’t wait to provide these smaller group experiences for those who want to develop greater self-awareness utilizing this profound system.

As always, I will continue to offer individual Enneagram counseling, guidance, and professional support. I've created more availability in my schedule for those looking to uncover the patterns behind their thoughts and behaviors. It’s deeply fulfilling to help others gain clarity, purpose, and empowerment in their lives.

Be on the look out for upcoming dates and program, hope to see you there!
